Paid off pdl

My husband made monthly payments to ALLSTATE to pay off his pdl from Check N' Go but has never received any paperwork from them. Only reason he made these payments was because he was told that he had a warrant for his arrest and if he did not agree to these payments they would go over that same day and arrest him. Did he make a mistake by doing this? Thank you.

Huge mistake. Debts are civil not criminal. They cannot arrest him. So basically they scammed him. Is Allstate the name of a CA?? What state are you in?? you need to file a complaint with the FTC and your states AG office.

Yes, I believe it was the collection agency, but every time he would try to get them to send him paperwork and receipts for his payments, they kept telling him he already had. This is the info on our bank statement:

I have had these same sort of threats from many a scammers. If they don't have the paperwork that is there problem. I have never been arrested even though I was threatened, literally, hundreds of times. Sorry that your husband made the payment. There is a good chance you won't see that money again. Please file complaints with your AG to help stop these people. What they have done to us and continue to do to others needs to be stopped.
