I received a call from a person Lauren Green who stated she is a State Process Server on my work cell and my personal cell phone last week. She stated that I was being charged with check fraud, I asked her what this was about and she told me to call 888-450-8408 and they would explain the details. I asked her for her number and she stated I did not need to call her back, that she was in Norfolk, VA and was looking for me. Well then I receive a call from my older daughter who was very upset and she said, mom dad's sister called me and told me that had a call from a Lauren Green and that they are going to serve a warrant on you to go turn yourself in. I told my daughter I knew this was a scam and not to worry. I then talked to my sister in law ans she told me that she called the number and the lady at ACS told her I was being arrested for check fraud from a previous employer for using their business checks. I told her that this is a scam that I had already googled the number and you could go online and check it out for herself. I then called the number this supposed Ms. Green gave me and they stated it was ACS and that I was being sued by Mynextpaycheck for a payday loan that I had not paid back. I then informed her that mynextpaycheck was not licensed in my state, and that internet loans are illegal and unenforcable in my state, and if they want to take me to court then they would have to admit to a class 6 felony for doing a payday loan in VA without a license. I then informed her that this Ms. Green had called my family and that was illegal and she stated it was, I then also told her that it was illegal for her to even discuss my debt with any other person except myself or my attorney. I then informed her that this is a scam and not to call me any more. When you get calls threatening arrest or court action, please make sure that you see a phone number on the caller ID, also google the phone number, and always remember not to give out any personal information about yourself.
