I've been getting a lot of calls from unknown numbers from people with foreign accents - usually Indian. They always say they're "so and so" from the dept. of "so an so". In the background there are always other voices that sound like a typical boiler room operation. I believe these are bottom feeders that got my phone number from some pdl that I applied with. I usually just hang up (often followed by another call leaving a message for me or my lawyer to phone them back). Some times I play with them a bit - suggesting that if they have some beef with me - to send me the paperwork (they never do). Or sometimes I get downright nasty with them - just to stir the pot.
I'm posting this because I'm sure some of you are getting the same calls.
If you ARE getting them - just ignore it (my opinion). They will keep trying however - I'm sure they recycle the same phone lists over and over.

Yea I think we all have had the fun privilage of dealing with these morons. I have fun with them when they call and tell me that I am going to be arrested if I don't pay them I give them the phone number to the Broward County Sherif and my local PD as well. They usually hang up while I am doing this so I call them back to make sure that they have the numbers and that I will be waiting for the cops to show. Again they will usually hang up when I do this so I just call back about 7 more times and really make them mad, after all this I get about a month of quit sometimes more.

I received a call from a Jeremy Hall (yeah, that's your name) with a very thick accent stating that he was sending the police to my employer and I would be arrested unless I sent him $600 to make the charges go away. He wanted me to fax a picture of the front and back of my debit card. Seriously!

I had exchanged a few words with this guy who called with an Asian accent; he said, he never used pseudo names as he was calling for a bank and that he was registered as a tele-caller with the Federal Govt. He also argued that they're not snatching our jobs, rather it is our companies that are outsourcing jobs to save more.

I have bee ngetting these calls for about 4 years now. I should have bee narrested about 30 times now. I don't answer my phone so a message is left each time. The phone numbes are different as well as the names used. But the message is always the exact same. I guess they all work together and use the same wording. What I love is how each message ends with "God Bless." No collection agency will end a mesage like that. In the beginning I would call back and refuse to give any information. THey would tell me how I will be arrested the next morning. Now I call back and ask them to put me on the "DO NOT SCAM" list. THey proceed to tell me how this is not a scvam. I just repeat the request again, say goodbye, then hang up.

Yeah I call these the "Tech Talk" calls because to me they always sound like the guys from the Metro One Tech Talk commercials. I like to mess with these guys a bit. My favorite line is when they try to convince you that they are legit , they say " But we have your information!" like that means anything.
