I was surfing the web and found this website similar to this one where people talk about collection agencies,etc..and of course, there were tons of threads about Allied...right in the middle of the threads was this:

Allied Interstate/IRMC is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
Candidates may undergo background and drug screening prior to offer of employment.

They are trying to recruit people who hate them...I knew they hired morons....but now we know why...because their recruiters are morons.

Sounds like Allied wants to attract people by giving the best sales pitch. They are trying to tempt people by giving people the best opportunities with which they are not equipped.

People are wise enough to select the place of employment? How many of us want to join the collection industry. Let's give our opinion here. I will never opt for this line even in my wildest dreams. LOL

I have been there already, worked in collections for 5 years, was a supervisor for 1 1/2 years...would not do that again. I was too much of a softy for that anyways, wasn't pushy, I would take $5/month payments if they offered them....and I fired people who treated the debtors badly...so guess Allied would never hire me..darn!

Oh Ari, it sounds so tempting, but I could never leave the Detroit area. I know there are endless oppurtunities out there, I just have to venture out and look more carefully. I think my biggest hold back is me not having a car, and being stuck in a college town. However, I know that soon as I finish school I'll definitely end up in New York with the rest of my friends.
