Pls help...

I was trying to apply for a loan for a house and found out that I owe AFNI $199.00 from my credit report. I've been doing some research online trying to figure how I should approach this. There are many website instructing people on how to dispute or request for a validation of the bill upon 30 days receiving the initial letter. However, I did not receive anything from AFNI and I had no prior knowledge until I saw that on my credit report...I didn't even know when they reported that on my credit report. How should I go about asking for what they are billing me for, the validation of the bill, and how to remove it from my credit report. Thank you for taking your time to read this.

This is to inform you that, in reviewing my credit report, I noticed an entry from your company stating that I am past due on a debt owed to you. I am not aware nor have I ever been notified of any such debt. According to my rights under the FDCPA, I am requesting validation of this alleged debt. Please supply me with proper proof that I am indeed the party who is, by contract, obligated to pay this debt and validation of the amount your company claims is due. I assume you are aware that until you validate this debt, you can neither continue collection activities nor report this information on my credit report. Thank you in advance for your cooperation regarding this matter. |
