Really need advice

I looked up the CSP for the Payday Loan Store (PLS) and it is Warren Dewayne Law in Kaufman, Texas. His license expires on Oct. 13, 2011 and it is renewable. I can't pay the $598 per paycheck. That's nearly $1,200 a month and I can't do it. I want to pay the loan off but they will not work with me at the store. I've asked if they would let me skip two payments so I could pay it off. They told me it will be a civil matter once I default. I'm afraid it could be worse because my bank has closed my checking account. I don't know where to begin. Do I write Mr. Law and beg for mercy?
I am contacting Payday Loan Yes and Speedy Cash on Tuesday. I'm not really worried about the $250 loan because I can pay it off. I am hopeful Speedy Cash will work with me. Seems that I have read somewhere that they are easy to work with.
What am I facing if Payday Loan Store turns my check over to the court? I don't know wht to do. I don't have the money to pay the $600 a paycheck and it's going to add up fast. My next payment is due Sept. 15.

Hi Cookie,
Though payday lending is legal in Texas, I will suggest you to contact the Texas Office of Consumer Credit Commissioner once and check out if all your payday lenders are licensed to operate in your state. If you find that even any of these payday lenders is not licensed to operate in your state, then you can simply pay them the principal amount and get rid of the debts.
However, if you find that all the payday lenders are licensed to operate in your state, then you will be liable for paying them the amount in full. In such a situation, your best option will be to contact a professional debt relief company and take it's assistance in consolidating the debts.
Take care.

Hi there,

I had a loan default with Speedy Cash (legal in TX) and they worked with me to pay a loan I defaulted on (I also had a $1000 loan that I paid back $1284 including fees). I called them up and spoke to collections department..I made a payment arrangement to repay in 2 payments and no additional fees were added. It's important to meet your "promise to pay" date or else it voids the arrangement. I found them to be very friendly and helpful. Hopefully they can do it in more payments if you need it. I suppose since they are legal they are not unwilling to work with you, they do not threaten or do any of the crazy stuff the illegal ones do. This is my experience with them - good luck and I hope you call and are able to make arrangements :D

You can contact your lenders and ask for payment options from customer service team. There you will be given voice prompts on how to make payment arrangements. Lenders understand that repaying your loan will depend upon your circumstances and may take you some time.

Sometimes, with legal lenders, you're better off defaulting and making payment arrangements with collections (internal or external). That was certainly my experience with Check 'n Go.
