I just wanted to say thank you for the great advice. i had taken out 4 pdl 5 months ago and had to close my account. I have been continuously harassed by the pdl companies I have been threatened by them, but thanks to the advice of you all to call WA Department of financial instituions I am no longer worried. None of the places I took internet pdl with are licensed in my state, i filed complaints with them and the FTC. I no longer have to worry about their threats. I was told to ignore the calls and to file a new complaint everytime they call. Not to mention in my state I was told they cant have a third party company call to collect on the PDL they have to do it. They have been having 3rd party persons calling me. thank you all so very much from the bottom of my heart. I feel like calling them and telling them off now....

Congratulations to you!! :) Promise yourself that you won't fall into the payday loan trap again in future. These payday loan companies may offer you a temporary relief from your financial problems but in the long run they actually create further problems.
