Account being handled by Audit Investigation Department?
Date: Fri, 09/16/2011 - 13:50
I was on here a month or so ago to talk about my debt situation with Med.Ch0ice.Finanical. Which is essentially W0rld.Financial Netw0rk National Bank. I called them up today to get my full account details and balance owed and the automated message said that the Audit Investigation Department is now handling my account. I assume this means it's gone into collections? I'm unsure as to what else that could mean. They gave me # to call to contact them but haven't, I don't know if it's going to be some aggressive collector trying to get funds. I am sitting down now to write my debt settlement letter, but is it too late?
I'm also not sure where to send the letter. I have an address for Med.Ch0ice where I normally send payment. I have 2 address both in Ohio for W0rld.Financial. One is a P.O. Box.
Just looking for a bit of advice. I'm ready to settle and have the money, just want to take care of it now.
Update: I called another number I had for W0rld.Financial and talked to some one who let me know that they have written off my account and are no longer handling it. It has gone over to their audit investigation department, which to me most likely means debt collector. So I'm not sure where I should go from here

Hi neole,
As they have given you a contact number, I will suggest you to give a call back on that number and discuss the matter with them. If they are trying to collect the debt from you, then you should ask them to validate the debt first. Once they validate the debt, then you should negotiate for debt settlement with them in order to get rid of the debt.
Take care.
