2 Collection Co's trying to collect payment on same 2008PDL from Cash Supply

A few minutes passed and I received a call again requesting payment. I informed them I already set up a payment why are they calling again. I was informed that they were calling from Richmond Receivables and that whoever else I gave my information to was trying to illegally collect money from me to call back and cancel the payment. Ms. Morgan Jones informed me that people had hacked their system and were stealing their information and this has happened already with another person. I took down their contact info (800)513-0185 and hung up with them.
I then called back NTC and left a message for Ms. Paris (877)220-7200. She called back and I explained to her that someone had called trying to collect payment on the same debt- she told me as well that's happened already today and that they rightfully owned the debt.
HELP! I don't know what to do. I cancelled my debit card since I don't know who I'm supposed to pay and what to do. I requested they send me a letter regarding the debt since I don't know whos the correct company to pay or if theyre both lying. I was scared into agreeing to small $50 payment since NTC told me I'd be charged with check fraud- a misdeameanor.
Has anyone ever heard of NTC or Richmond Receivables? I tried googling both names and phone numbers and nothing good came back!

Personally I wouldnt pay either. And telling you it is a criminal offense is a federal violation of the FDCPA! So hang up on these guys and stay off the phone!!!

That sounds like a scam to me! Why would one company call you and another call. You should have not given up any information let alone admit to owing the debt you should have asked them to validate the debt. You need to close your bank account because if not they may try to drain it! Did you give them any bank info?

You can make a written request to them for a debt validation letter via certified mail with a return receipt request. If they don???t give any reply then forward them a Cease and Desist letter. I think it???s a scam. You may visit the following link to know how to write a debt validation letter and a Cease and Desist letter:

Forget the debt validation. It's a waste of your time where this is concerned.
If they call again (either of them) ask them to send you something in writing, period.
This is a typical scam to scare people into giving them money. Once they get access to your financial info, they will bleed you dry.
If they won't send something in writing, or have all kinds of excuses as to why they can't, tell them to FOAD and don't answer their calls again.
The majority of internet PDLs are ILLEGAL, so, anything you paid to them in "fees/interest/rollovers" can be subtracted from the original loan amount. You've probably already paid them.
Don't give them ANY of your information!
