Phone # 361-882-5153

can collection agencies call over and over again? I checked your posts about cease and desist,

the **** from CPS says they can still call certain hours. i have proof of their signature conformation receiving the letter notice.

what else do i need to prove and how do i file action suit against their harrassment? And can they keep using different phone numbers from the same company?

i already have phone recordings from at least 3 different numbers

Hi

After receiving your cease and desist letter, the collection agencies are restricted from calling further. They are violating the federal laws and you have a legal case against them. Consult an attorney regarding this matter. He will help you in filing a case against them.

You have made your approach stronger by recording the phone calls. Have you checked the laws in your state regarding the recording of the calls? If permission is required to be taken and you have not done so, the CA can fight back against you. Some state laws allow recording of the phone calls secretly. Please know the laws in your state by checking at the state attorney general office.

It might be possible that different departments are having your account information. That is the reason, they are using different phone numbers. But, after receiving your cease and desist letter, the information must be sent to all.

Consult your attorney for further actions.

If you have sent a cease and desist, then they cannot call you except to notify you of their intent to sue. Other than that, they are breaking the law, and you can make your complaint at the attorney general's office, FTC and BBB. Make sure you save all the proof you have that you sent the letter, they recieved the letter, and that they are still calling. You can also consult an attorney for this.

As for the phone numbers, a lot of CA's work out of call centers and have numerous phone lines, so yes they will be calling from different numbers.
