That said,wage assignments are VOLUNTARY. You can revoke a wage assignment by sending the PDL a letter stating " I hereby REVOKE my voluntary wage assignment." Make sure you give a copy to your payroll department.

Your company should inform you of any garnishments before they occur. Just remember that voluntary wage assignments can be revoked by you at any time. Be sure to revoke these with each lender and give a copy to your employer as well.
