I received a call from cs store yesterday 10/4 and the message says that they have been trying to contact me and work out payment arrangements for the past two weeks with no success. Now my accounts is being moved on for further action (or something like that). I wonder what that means? I have not received any calls from checksmart today. I wonder are they going to attempt a wage garnishment?

I have talked to the store last week and they couldnt help me, I called the corporate office at least 4 to 5 times over the past week or so pleading with them to allow me to make extended payments (at least 100 dollars every two weeks) with no success. They would only allow 1/2 or whole but I refuse to believe that. They could work with me if they wanted to but they choose not too. They keep telling me to pay back the full balance and then reborrow. FORGET IT!! I trying to get away from these PDL's not continually borrow.

I wonder what Checksmart is planning on doing???

Hi cturner,

They won't be able to garnish your wages unless they file a lawsuit against you and get a judgment for the same. You will have to somehow convince them in order to give you an extended payment plan to pay off the debt. Unless they do so, it will be difficult for you to get rid of the debt. In case they don't agree to your request, then you will have to pay off the debt in full in order to get rid of it.

Take care.

Hey Savion,

thanks for the input. I just talked to cs last Friday 10/7. they were nasty and and indifferent as normal. I tried to get an extended payment plan through but they refused and told me that they will turn it over to their attorney and they will get their money, and hung up. With that said. Maybe I will have better luck with the attorney.
