I was in the hospital last year for five days, and did not have insurance. I could not afford to pay the hospital bills, due to my house being in foreclosure and being unemployed. Allied Interstate is now constantly harrassing me, and I was planning to call them back to set up a payment plan and make the calls stop. I am now pregnant, and still in the process of losing my house, so I cannot afford much but cannot deal with the stress anymore. After reading all of the negative comments about them, including their illegal activities and harassment, I am not sure what to do and what way I should go about handling this. I would like to take care of the debt as much as I can before it gets out of hand, just not through this company. Please help or give any advice possible. Thank you!

Hi cortney,

Did you ask Allied Intestate to validate your debt? If not, then you should ask them to validate the debt before you make any kind of payments to them. Once they validate the debt, then you can try to settle the debts with them. This will help you to pay off the debt and get rid of it. You may even contact a professional debt relief company who can assist you in negotiating with them and settling your debts.

Take care

In this case, I would agree with Savion Parker. You need to first get the debt validated so that you can at least be sure about the debt. In the meantime, you can try to collect some money so as to pay off the debt. If they aren???t able to validate the debt, then well and good; you can send them a cease and desist letter. However, if they are able to validate the debt, you can go for debt settlement with them.
