Unsigned Debt Settlement Agreement?

I got an e-mail saying they will accept a settlement, but it's not signed. It has everything that says, the account number, supervisor name, but not signed, and it's an e-mail.
Should I call back for a signed document instead and have it mailed to me?

Can you please tell us as to who are ???they???? Are you sure about the debt regarding which you have received this settlement mail? If you don???t yet have any proof that you owe this debt, before you agree to the settlement, please do try and get a debt validation on the same.
