Live in texas.my wife took out a loan with united cash, started out at 150.00.now its at 355.00 and climbing.

Ii see what they are doing and how. cant find out if they are legal or not and if i should just close the account as it appears i have to..should i request the overpayment be sent back as im liable it appears for the 150.00 only or do a stop payment on the last 175 they took and pay the bank 28.00 a shot for each of the last 4 withdraws regaining about 60,00 only ?

I agree with Soaplady. You can get rid of the debts by paying them only the principal amount as they are not licensed to operate in your state. Illegal lenders won???t be able to take any legal action against you. You may visit the following link to know about how to deal with illegal lenders:

I agree with the other posters, you've more than paid what you owe, and this outfit is 100 percent illegal! Get that account closed out now, and don't tell them beforehand you're doing so. (a stop payment probably wouldn't be a good idea, as these companies operate under several different names). This company is a royal pain and, sad to say, you will more than likely receive all kinds of calls from them. And they'll tell you they ARE lega, etc., etc. Hold your ground and when you pick up the phone and find out it's them, hang up.
