i would love to close my account and pay these guys off my way, in my own time, but i have 6 payday loans out and if i did that, they would call my family, work and friends like crazy, constantly all day every day. i cant have that at all. we all are already getting constant calls from scam artists who i dont even owe money too. this is the only thing keeping me from closing my account and taking back my life again.

most of them are illegal, i've been reading on here, but thats not really my concern, i'm worried about them harrassing my family and friends and my job when i close my account. i dont want everyone to hate me when they get endless calls from these guys.

cash yes, zip 19, everest cash, bayside loans, 500 fast cash, i cant even remember them all. theres one more i cant remember.

Since most of the lenders are illegal in your state, so they won???t be able to take any legal action against you. You are required to pay them only the principal amount. You can request your bank manager to put a hard debit check on your bank account to stop unauthorized withdrawal. You can file a complaint against them to the State Attorney General or FTC.

i'm not worried about the legal issues either, what i'm afraid of is that they will harrass the only people they can get a hold of, my family, my friends and my work. that alone is why i have not made any moves yet, with 6 payday loans, they will get numerous calls from each one all day long. is there anyway around that?

There's no way to guarantee your references won't be called. Even if you pay the loan according to their terms, these illegal lenders sometimes still call months (or years) after payoff to try to extort more money from you. And they'll call you and your references.

Close the account!

Tell your friends and family that you're a victim of ID theft/fraud and that they should simply ignore the calls.

I have the same problem except, I have a $300 loan out with Allied Cash Advance and they've been calling one of my references in particular, a lot. I've even called and asked them NOT to repeatedly call her because now she's getting angry and, I don't blame her. I've called them made payment arrangements. They've come to my house when I wasn't there, left notices(which is fine) but they've talked to my neighbors!
They can call me all they want but when you get my neighbors and friends involved, repeatedly that's getting aggressive. Is there a way I can stop them from calling her? I am planning on paying them off but I need sometime.

i would love to close my account, but i just cant do it. i cant subject my family, friends and work to multiple calls from 6 different places, i just cant. i'll just have to come up with some other way to pay these guys off cos i havent paid my water bill in 6 months, my home phone is disconnected, they have shut off my cable a few times, i'm in a huge mess. maybe if i work all the holidays i can get a slight grip on things.
