Seaside Payday not responding to emails/still harrassing me at work
Date: Fri, 11/04/2011 - 06:05
I've sent numerous emails the last two weeks to Seaside Payday with the letter stating that they're illegal, and I am only to pay the principal amount. I live in Ohio. Not that this matters, because it's an illegal payday lender to begin with. I stated I will not answer phone calls, and that I want everything in writing. I have yet to receive a response via email.
They continue to call my work; which I expected. But now they are randomly dialing extensions to my co-workers looking for me. Do I just keep ignoring them? I don't get why they won't respond to emails, but they'll just keep calling. Dirtbags.
They also won't give me a legit address to send the rest of my payments to.
Any advice?

Thank you. I reported them to the AG, as well as the FTC. I was told by the AG unfortunately there's nothing they can do since it's a tribal lender, even though they're illegal. So I'll just ignore the phone calls I suppose, and keep sending the emails out!

The AG's office said there's nothing I can do since they are a sovereign nation and follow their own laws. I was the one that typed they were illegal, as in after doing research on here I read they were illegal for my state, Ohio. The AG didn't say they were illegal, just told me to file a complaint and they'd look into it.
Sorry for the confusion!
Either way, I plan on just paying the principal balance if they'd ever get back to me via email or regular mail! :-?
