a little confused payless debt

So I am glad I found this site because I didn't know who to ask about this, first off I am in the state of Alabama, I had 2 pdl one with united cash loans, and another with great sky cash (they changed names to white hills, about a month ago), anyways, I took these out in the beginning of April, total of about 1000 I think I tried to find the exact numbers, but I have deleted them from my email, anyways the whole situation got ridiculous, so I contacted a company called Payless debt in August, and they sent both creditors a notice of ach debit revocation, the united cash loan people stopped debiting my account right after that, but the great sky-white hills continued(my orgnal loan was for 500 and have paid them more than 600 since the revocation of ach debits) I tried to contact them 3 times once they hung up on me, the next I had to call back the next day because only one person there could help me, but when I called back they didn't answer, so I contacted payless debt, and they said that they would contact them, but they continued to debit my account for a month after that, I closed my account last week and so last time I got paid neither the lender nor Payless debt got any money from me. So I got an email the next day from white hills cash stating

"Your loan with Alliance Funding has been assigned to Island Finance and is now delinquent per your Loan agreement. As of today, the payment that was due on your loan has not been received. Your loan is in default, and is now being assigned to our collection department.
We would like to work with you to resolve this obligation in a timely manner. You may be eligible for a payment plan or to have some of your fees waived if you act now. I urge you to call us today at 800-986-1972 to make arrangements to satisfy this obligation.

I have been reading on here about illegal lenders and apparently the law is on my side in this situation but don't really know what to do at this point So I was wondering if anyone has had any dealing with payless debt or greatsky-white hills, and if anyone had any suggestions and could point me in the right direction, didn't mean for this to be so long.
