I recieve a call today at my place of employment it was from a place called Total Recovery they were verifying my employment and they said it was for the court they left a number and I called it back they said it was for the VIP Loan and they were going to garnish my wages 28 percent cause I had comitted check fraud and they were going to collect I paniced I was so affraid they were going to garnish my wages i live in the state of Kentucky where the online loans are illegal so I set up a payment arrangement with them for the principal amount what should I have done I have sent these people all of the letters and filed all my complaints but when they called my employment it scared me to death what do I do ???

total recovery broke the law hand over fist with their call.first off as you stated VIP is illegal.not only in KY,but everywhere.also fraud is a crime and owing a debt especially an illegal one is not a crime.lastly i have never heard of any debt including student loans being garnished for a weird percentage like that besides to garnish they would have to sue in civil court.again this total recovery broke the law with that call.cancel whatever method you used.if a debit card tell your bank to cancel it and issue you a new one.if a cc do a chargeback.then report total recovery to your police.then when the dirtbags call again tell them not only not to call you at work, but that you will not talk to them again until you get something in writing.then hang up and repeat.also use any info you have to file an AG complaint.just do not talk to them further, and file the report and complaint.

first yes file all the complaints against total recovery too.then inform your boss and anyone else that this piece of dirt might be calling and that anything they say will be a lie.again easy as pie.both places are illegal as all get and can and will do nothing they threaten.just know that.they play on fear.last thing they can't validate an illegal debt so asking for that is a waste of time.

I have sent my cerified letter a few weeks ago to this company and I never recieved the card back saying that they have gotten it so I tracked it and it said they had made 2 attempts and left a notice and as of now it still has not been picked up so the Post Office informed me after 15 days that they will return it back to me so what should I do now if the refuse to pick up my certified letter and it is returned to me ?

again they can't validate an illegal debt, and if they accept the letter then you have a confirmed local for a lawsuit.inform your boss, and HR/payroll person that this scmming piece of trash might call.let them be your allies not your enemies.in fact most HR people do not give any info over the phone.so you sent the letter if it comes back do as advised above, and hang up if the losers call again as last time they can't validate an illegal debt.
