I was looking through the forum and am still really confused as to what I should be doing. I am enrolled in a debt consolidation company and am not too sure what I should do at this time. I am 4 months in and am scared. Can I trust them? Do I back out and go a different route?

I did do research to the best of my ability before making a decision. This was one of the highest ratings on the BBB. The name of the company we are working with is Crusader Consumer Services. Unfortunately, I came across this website after we signed into the company.
I feel it's been 5 months and no settling has been done as of yet. Our counselor who has been assigned to us has said he will be able to settle with a company within the next month or two. I am afraid of what to expect in the upcoming months and if we have made the best decision?

If you checked out this company and found no complaints, and they've been in business awhile, whereby they've established a good record, you probably have nothing to worry about. If you haven't been speaking with them regularly, I encourage you to give them a call.

We oftentimes see our clients getting impatient after five months or so - even though we contact them on a regular basis to provide updates. Patience is key when attempting to settle your debt, and if this company has a good track record, I'm sure you'll be pleased with the outcome.

Hopefully you're not paying any upfront fees - this is prohibited. Also, if you'd like some reassurance, contact Crusader and ask if they can put you in touch with present and former clients, who I'm sure will put your mind at ease. We have an infinite number of clients who are always willing to help others with their decisions regarding debt settlement.

I'm sure you have nothing to be concerned about, but so that you feel better about your decision, please give them a call and contact as many of their past and present clients as it takes to ease your fears.

Best of luck to you!
