I am in major debt with these payday loan online lenders. I am not sure if they are legally able to lend in Florida. Does anyone know where I can find out for sure. I did go to the FL Office of Financial Regulation to verify and no information is on the names I have searched. Does this mean they do not have a license to lend in Florida?

My PDL's are:
US FAST CASH
MY CASH NOW
THE VIP LOAN SHOP
INTEGRITY ADVANCE
SURE ADVANCE
ZIP 19
MONEY 2 ADVANCE
CASH DIRECT
AMERILOAN
PLAIN GREEN LOANS
LASER LENDING
INSIGHT CAPITAL

I owe a total of approximately $6000. This amount includes finance fees.

I have already taken the first step and closed my bank account. The next step, for me was to realize that I needed help with finances and I am getting it.

I just need to know how to find out if they are legally allowed to lend in Florida or not.

Thank you for any help.

none of your lenders are legal in FL.so you not only owe the principle, but anything debited in"fees"by each lender gets deducted from that.example:

you borrow 400.00 from mycashnow(an out of the country lender)they debit 100.00 three times.you only owe 100.00 on this.you did good in closing your account.now try to see what these places debited each because again anything they debit gets deducted from the principle.so you don't owe near the 6,000.00,and it may be even less depending on how much was debited by each.keep us posted please.

Okay, today I received some responses from some of the companies I owe. Money 2 Advance is the only one so far that has agreed to my terms (yeah for me :D), Plain Green Loans insist that they do not have to obey state or federal laws because they are tribal. I informed them that I wasn't affiliated with their tribe so Florida law prevails...waiting for answer. I also informed Sure Advance and Cash Direct Express (both in Delaware) that I was not a resident in Delaware and Florida law prevails. Sure Advance tried to make a deal, however, I pushed the NO DEAL button and counter offered with only what I owe on the principle. Will continue to keep you informed and continue to come back to get help. Thanks to Paulmergel and Ohiogal for the help that you have provided thus far.:)

Congrats on the one that agreed to your terms. For the others make sure you file complaints with the Florida Office of Financial Regulation, most of the other companies will fall in line once they receive the notification of the legal status of each loan in the state of FL from the FOFR.
