I currently have some loans that I am having trouble paying off. The companies are Spot on Loans, Plain Green Loans, Payday One, and Cash Net USA. I live in Louisiana so I know payday loans are legal here but I need to know if these companies have licenses in this state. I saw the max amount for a payday loan LA allows is 350 but I have some that are over the 350 amount. I do not know how to determine if they are licensed in the state of LA because some of their websites are so vague. So if you can please help me, I would really appreciate it!! I got pulled into these loans to help cover school expenses and it really is a downhill progression doing business with these companies.

CashNet USA and PayDay One are licensed to operate in Louisiana. As the previous post said, you should be able to get into a EPP (payment plan) with them, especially if you are a good customer and haven't had one before. I have had one with CashNet USA, but be absolutely certain that you speak to a representative in their collections department and get a WRITTEN documentation (via fax or email) once you agree on the payment terms and detailed conditions. They have a habit of deleting payment arrangements (as I've found out).
I've never had a payment arrangement with PayDay One, however I would still make sure that you get WRITTEN documentation of the terms as well.

Thanks guys for your help. I sent an email to Spot on Loans and Plain green to stop their ACH debits from my account yesterday. I haven't heard from them since then. I have taken two loans out from Spot on Loans before, so I hope I will be able to receive a refund. I have already made two payments to Spot On Loans for my current loan on just the fees, so I asked them to use those previous payments on my principle. I hope it works... they have made a huge mess on my bank account. I have Chase. I asked Chase if they could block the ACH debits from them but they said they cannot do anything because of the agreement I made with the payday loan companies. :/ Chase told me the best thing I can do is to call Spot on and Plain Green to work something out but from reading these forums... I think the only method of communication I want to do with them is via email. I am soo glad there are people like you guys to help us!!

UPDATE!

So Spot On Loans never contacted me but when I logged on my account. It showed I have a zero balance. However on the loans I had with them, it listed as debt consolidation.

Last Activity Loan Amount Status Loan Documents
01/04/2012 $500.00 Debt Consolidation Request by Phone
01/04/2012 $500.00 Debt Consolidation Request by Phone

Forgive my lack of knowledge in this area, but what exactly does that mean? Does it mean they sent my account to an collection agency or does it mean something else?

Plain Green Loans tried one more ACH debit on my account but it was blocked. So now on my account it says this...

"The details and payment schedule of your current loan are shown below.
Your PlainGreenLoans account is currently flagged as having an invalid bank account number. Without a valid bank account number, we are unable to electronically process your payments or refinance.

Please contact Account Services toll free at (866) 614-7103 to update your bank information and have this flag removed or to make other payment arrangements.

Once we have updated your PlainGreenLoans account information you can return here and process a payment. "

However, they never replied back to me after I sent the letter. So what do you guys suggest I do next?
