Which one is correct?

I checked my credit report a few days ago. The ‘Date Opened†dates of 5 credit items were not correct. The “Date Opened†refers to the date on which I have opened a new credit account, right? Or, does it denote the date on which the account was sent to the CA?

It depends. If you're talking about the line item for your actual account (with the credit card company or whomever), then yes, it's the date your account was opened.
If it's a collection agency reporting on your account, that "date opened" will be the date they received the account.
