HI, I talked to my bank and they said I can file a dispute for the funds the lenders have taken out of my account and get the money back for me.. Is this something I should do if I can get it back? All the loans except for 1 have been just interest fee's and not principal.. Can I get in trouble for having my bank get the money back for me? Or should I just let it go and contact them and pay off just the principal and make arrangements with them?

I will suggest you to follow the advice given to you by your bank. But I will also suggest you to check out whether or not your payday lenders are legal and licensed to operate in your state. This will help you to take a better decision. If you find that they are illegal, then you can pay them the principal amount and get rid of the debts. If you've paid them more than the principal balance, then you can even ask them to give you a refund of the excess amount paid.

All 6 lenders are illegal in my state... I told my bank I didn't know about those transactions from the payday lenders.. and they said they can dispute them and get the money back for me.. Is that something I can do if my bank can do it? or can I get in trouble for kinda lieing about it... cause I knew I took out the loans.. but at the same time they are illegal and I want the finance charges back... I could get back all the money and then just pay them back the principal? Just dont want to get in trouble for lying to my bank about not knowing about the payday loan transactions and stuff.

I'm confused.

Have you overpaid these lenders?

How much did you borrow from each?

How much have they debited from your account so far?

If you still owe them, then no. You don't want the bank to get the money back. If you've overpaid them, then YES. You do want the bank to refund your money.
