I am not exactly new to this site as I have been viewing and reading posts since 2009 when I got myself into a payday loan nightmare. Unfortunately it has been 3 years and I am still finding myself attached to these criminals!
I defaulted on 2 of my loans and both my loans were sold to the same collection agency. I still get at least one call per day but some days I can get as many as ten! I have filed complaints with just about everyone and nothing has worked. My relatives have got calls and my co-workers have received voice mails! But believe it or not I can handle the harassing of a phone call and I dare them all the time to come arrest me as they have been promising to do for 3 years. Unfortunately the collection agency has reported to the credit agencies and I am having a real hard time getting these off my credit. Any suggestions??

Yes, you can't be arrested for a payday loan debt. Are these pdl companies legal in your state? Ask the CA to not call your relatives.
If the pdls are legal and you have defaulted on them, then the CA can report to the credit bureaus.

I am pretty sure they are not legal. I live in NJ and i was under the impression from this site that PDL's are not legal in NJ. Everytime i dispute they are removed but show up again very soon after. Two loans are being reported 4 times by Capital Accounts.
I have tried everything to get the calls to stop, nothing has worked. I have sent complaints to the FTC, BBB, Attorney General, the PDL and collection agency. They stop for a short amount of time and then start again. Like i said, i can handle the calls. It is the credit report that is annoying. It has really hurt my credit score.

Yeah you are right. Payday lending is illegal in NJ. Illegal lenders can???t take any legal action against you. You are required to payback only the borrowed amount. Close your bank account asap. You can file a complaint against them to the SAG or FTC.
