On Dec. 15th, I sent a letter via email to Ameriloan using some of the ideas on this site to formulate my letter. Basically told them that since they're not licensed in my state, I only owe them the principal of my $300.00 loan. Already paid them $180 on the loan so should only owe them another $120.00. Once I emailed them that letter, I only received one "friendly" voice mail message from Ameriloan & they have never emailed me back. However, they in the past few weeks have been calling me every single day at least a few times a day.

Other than that one voicemail message they originally left me, they never leave voicemail messages for me yet they keep on calling. So, obviously they're hoping to get me to answer the phone & talk to them which is NOT happening. I already clearly told them in the email letter I sent them back on Dec. 15th that I will only communicate to resolve this issue with them via email.

Today, I finally heard from them via email. Their recovery department sent me an email which said absolutely nothing in response to the email that I originally sent THEM. It basically just said hey we know the phone calls can be stressful so an easy way to stop the calls is to log onto our site and make a payment to us. They say my account is now in collection status and say that I owe them $510.00. What a load of crap!! I do NOT owe them $510.00!!

What do you suggest I do now? Just ignore them?? Resend the exact same email that I sent them back on Dec. 15th?

If someone could please advise me on this, I'd really appreciate it. I already closed my bank account so I at least no longer have to worry about them continuing to debit my account.

Thank you very much for your input Nelly.

Unfortunately, I just lost my main job the other day & am struggling with how I'm even going to be able to come up with rent money on time for my Feb. rent. So, I have absolutely no extra money right now that I can send to Ameriloan. Also, I told them in the email that I originally sent to them that I'd start sending them payments as soon as I can if they tell me what address to send the payments to & they have yet to do that. What if at some point in the future I send them the $120.00 I still owe to whatever address I find for them online & then they try & pull some load of crap and claim that they never even received it? I'm really worried that might happen & so I really wish they'd tell me specifically what address to send it to.
