please help...i'm scared

One loan with Tior Capital and 3 loans with Zip19
These have been internet loans
I live in NC.
Tior Capital deposited $200 and Zip19 deposited $1070 total.
Been debited $150 by Tior and Zip19 has debited a total of $1025.84.
I sent both lenders emails letting them know that I would payoff the principal only. No response from Zip19 yet. However, Zip19 sent an email stating that they had contacted my employer for employment verification. Tior's operations manager is supposed to be calling me back. Tior is threatening to turn it over to collections and Zip19 is apparently threatening garnishment.
I am very nervous about standing up to them. I am so afraid this will cost me my job. I can't close my checking account because the ACH's from these lenders (and the subsequent NSF's from Wells Fargo which are $35 each) have thrown my bank account overdrawn by a couple hundred dollars which I can't afford to pay off. So I bought a Walmart check card and am going tomorrow to my HR dept. and stop direct deposit into my Wells Fargo account and have it changed to the Walmart card.
I have heard that NC is a non-garnishment state. But, if they are contacting my work, doesn't that mean they will start garnishment? I thought they would have to have a court order to do that.

here is what you do
first give your HR/payroll person(wage assignment revocation letters)regarding each lender.make it simple like.
i hereby revoke any wage assignments i may have signed.
no more than that as that is what these places mean by garnishment as they wouldn't have a prayer in court.btw zip19 is not based in the US.now as far as your account goes.have it put on DEPOSITS ONLY status as that is what that is for.see a manager for this and nobody else.then tell your boss that these places might be calling and that you have no business with them.sorry they will lie to anybody they call so a little white lie won't hurt.do that knowing these places once you revoke any wage assignments are powerless after that.

also when you are sure your HR won't honor the assignments.send your letters again demanding an alternate way to pay.meaning an address to send the money.no address means no money.
