My wife and I are looking to clean up our credit. We have 3 items from '10, and 3 from early '11. I have written and sent off the pay-for-delete letters with offers.

What should I expect next? And if they dont except the pay-for-delete then whats the next step.

I appreciate the input.

Dont expect anything....pay for deletes are rare. Most likely your letters will be ignored. Pay for delete is considered goodwill....collection agencies have no reason to offer you it...they dont want you back as a customer.

If they are reporting correctly, they can report for the full 7 years.
