Back in Nov. I received a call at work reguarding a loan I took out with Payday 1. It was a company called National. I took out a loan with Payday 1 in 2010 for $400. The guy that called me said they were going to send to court to garnish my wages. They offered to settle for $100 a month and only charge me $400. Of course, I jumped at the offer. I already paid $100 to them in Dec. I wasn't able to make any payments in Jan. Now, I am being threaten to get taken to court again. The only problem is I never got any paperwork from them concerning our agreement or to verify the debt. I was told they don't do that and I would get a PIF email 30 days after my last payment. My question is should I continue making payments to them? Also, since I missed my payments they want to charge me an additional $300. The only info I have on this company is they go by National and the phone # 888-209-4902. Any advise would be great!

a couple of points.

1)payday1 is illegal in every state so even if nothuing was debited ever.you only owe the 400.00
2)national is a bottomfeeding scam.the court theat was just that a threat as they can't just "take it to court"they must sue you meaning you get served and then they garnish.that is if they would win in court.

you got taken.first use the name and number to file an AG complaint against this bottomfeeding scam.then try to get the hundred back.claim you never authorized it.if not then just know this national is a scam collecting for an illegal lender that you might not owe anything,or very little to.to spaceblank.more lousy advice.please enough already!
