Similar to other posts I have read here (wonderful information by the way), my sister and I have both gotten ourselves in a mess with online payday lenders to help with an extreme family emergency. We tried all other avenues to secure funds but had to resort to the payday lenders. We live in Indiana and cannot find any online PDLs that have the required license in our state, only storefront lenders. We have both already taken the steps to close our bank accounts yesterday. What I am worried about is if any of these lenders are CSOs. I know this is going to be a struggle but I am determined not to let these people intimidate me. This is the breakdown for both of us:

Dollar Premier 300 paid 90
Cash Yes 225 paid 67.50
Bayside Cash 500 paid 600
SeaSide Cash 400 paid 360
Payment Direct 200 paid 178
3BP Payday 250 paid 450
Red Stone Cash 300 paid 420

PayDayMax 710 paid 449.39
Integrity 500 paid 150
Intsant Loan USA 400 paid 380
Express Money Line 200 paid 140
One Click Cash 300 paid 460
Multiloan Source (AALM) 550 paid 495
Bayside Cash 500 paid 450
Fresh Start Payday 400 paid 240
500 Fast Cash 500 paid 150

We had originally thought of going with a payday debt consolidation company but I came across this information before we did anything I have a feeling that they payday debt consolidation companies work more for the lenders than the actual borrowers. Also, in the letters we send, we will not pay anything through our bank accounts...only money order or a prepaid visa card. Do we state that we will not pay anything via ACH in the letter and ask for an address or phone number to pay the amounts we still owe on the principal? Also, has it been hard for others when dealing with the lenders to get them to accept this type of payment? Any help we can get we would appreciate endlessly. We are drowning!

Thanks,
Jen

At first you should contact with Indiana Department of Financial Institutions to know whether or not pdl companies are licensed in Indiana. If they are not licensed, then you can get rid of these debts by paying back only the principal amount. No need to pay any extra fee or charges. Close your bank account asap to stop debiting money from your account. Ask them for the refund, if you have paid them more than principal.
