Over $12,000 Overpaid??
Date: Wed, 02/22/2012 - 18:17
I am new to these forums. I got online searching for a way out of the online payday loan hell I have been in since 2008. After researching many threads here, I believe I have overpaid 3 illegal online payday loan companies by over $12,000.
What are the chances of me getting this money back? Since it is such a considerable amount, I am considering hiring an attorney to file a lawsuit. Do I have a case? Would it be best for me to try and get some money back by contacting these companies directly?
The companies I am referring to are Fast & Reliable Cash, Eastside Lenders, and Integrity Advance. Correct me if I am wrong, but none of these companies are licensed in Michigan, the state where I live. The $12,000 figure comes from the amount I have paid these companies since late 2008 less the principal amounts.
Any advice would be welcomed. I have been struggling so hard for so long.
Thank you.

The chances of getting back your money is less. Yes, you can get help of an attorney if the illegal pdl companies don't give you a refund. First try to do it yourself. If you fail to get back your money, then you can certainly get help of an attorney.
All the 3 companies are illegal.

Are these loans still active? If so, you need to close your checking account to make sure they dont get any more cash? I The good news is you know you dont have to pay another penny. And its absolutely worth fighting to get something back from them.

You can certainly contact the lenders and request a refund. I highly doubt you'll be refunded the full amount overpaid but you may get some money back. Give it a shot! You have to be persistent.
I am curious too. Are these loans still active? Have you protected yourself from any further withdrawals?
