I'm trying to refinance my home mortgage through the making home affordable program and when the clerk ran my credit report he informed me there was a judgement on the house from CitiBank. I never received any summons regarding my Citibank account. I currently defaulted my accounts and am with one of those Freedom Debt Relief programs. They advised me that if there wasn't any summons served I could file a Motion to Set Aside a Default Judgment. But how hard is it, is it worth it, and what is the cost? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Also does the judgement follow me or the address of the home? Meaning if I asked the bank that I wanted to put someone else on the title, what would happen to the judgement?
