Your correspondence has been directed to me for review and I thank you for the opportunity to assist you at this time.
We understand that all situations are different and would like to offer you the opportunity to pay the remaining principal in the amount of $311.96. We propose the following payment plan:
Date Payment

5/21/12 $77.99
6/21/12 $77.99
7/21/12 $77.99
To further clarity your questions regarding the legality of this loan, Plain Green is organized under the laws of the Chippewa-Cree Tribe of the Rocky Boy’s Indian Reservation of Montana (“Chippewa-Creeâ€). Plain Green is owned by the Chippewa-Cree, and operates exclusively on land owned by the Chippewa-Cree. As such, Plain Green stands as an “Arm of the Tribe,†in the view of the United States state and federal courts. Therefore, loans made by an arm of a sovereign Indian nation are not subject to state law. This is not a payday loan.
This letter is written to help you understand that Plain Green and its loan contracts are governed exclusively by the laws of the Chippewa-Cree.
Pursuant to your request, we have removed your contact numbers from our system and we will make no further ACH debits from your account.
Please reply to this email if you accept this offer to settle your account.
Sincerely,
Plain Green Loans

I would use a prepaid debit card to take care of the payments. Plain Greens is not as bad as the other tribal lenders, they are at least willing to work with debtors in most cases.

Can i ask what fax number you used? And what type of letter you sent? I am dealing with Plain Green now. I borrowed $700. I have made payments every two weeks in the amount of $108 for about 3 months. I have to go back and research exactly how much I have paid to them, but I am sure it is close to what I borrowed. I have another payment set to come out on Thursday and would like to stop it if possible.
thanks for any help you can give!
Maybe this will help
Here is the link how to deal with unlicensed/illegal pdl (payday loans) that's outlined elsewhere in this forum:

E-mail should be sufficient, though. Plain Green Loans isn't as bad. I've just dealt with them myself.
CAUTION: The response you see at the top of this thread either omits this part or it didn't include it. It was included in mine:
"Please be advised that this communication is for the purpose of collecting a debt. Any information obtained may be used to collect the debt. We may report information about your account to credit bureaus. Late payments, missed payments, or other defaults on your account may be reflected in your credit report."
If, after you'd written them and received a response with the above, be sure to e-mail them back with this:
"Dear Plain Green Loans,
Thank you for your quick response.
However, I am troubled by the collection notice at the top of your e-mail.
Before I agree to the settlement, I will need written confirmation from you that when I agree to pay you the balance due you in the amount of $XX,XX, which will be paid with Money Order on (insert date most advantageous to you), 2012, and what will be sent per 1st class USPS to the P.O. Box (PO Box 255
Box Elder, MT 59521 ), you will NOT report this account to the Credit Reporting Agencies.
A reply stating such to this e-mail is sufficient.
Although you are a sovereign nation as Chippewa-Cree, I am not a citizen of your Tribe and I am not Chippewa-Cree. I am a resident of the State of (your state) where this payday loan took place, and under (your state) laws you must be licensed by the State in order to offer loans to its residents legally.
So I would caution you to not report this account to any Credit Bureaus that may infringe upon my rights under the Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Upon receipt of your e-mail stating you will not make any attempts to report me to any Credit Bureaus in the United States, I will agree to the settlement of $XX.XX (payable in a timeframe you choose or one lump sum, again, whatever is convenient to you) as outlined above and we can consider this issue closed.
I look forward to your rapid response.
Sincerely,
XXXX XXXXXX"
This will ensure you have written record they don't go after you by reporting negatively to the CRAs (credit reporting agencies). Remember, they loaned you illegally. They shouldn't be allowed to profit off of you or ruin your credit.
Hope this helps.
