Does anyone know anything about Redleaf Lending? I live in Indiana and cannot find out if they are licensed in my state or not. I became unemployed and now they call several times a day wanting payment. There is no information out there that I can find. Any help is appreciated!

I too agree with my previous posters. You are required to pay them only the principal amount as they are illegal. Close your bank account to stop them for debiting money from your account. Ask them for the refund, if you have overpaid them. Don???t worry, they won???t be able to take any legal action against you.

I live in Maryland, and have obtained a loan through Red Leaf Lending. I recently contacted them to attempt to arrange a more favorable repayment agreement which would allow me to pay the principal and a discounted fee, but they seem unwilling to cooperate. Do you have any advice for me? Any information would be welcome. Thanks.

You may also want to contact the Maryland Commission of Financial Regulation, 500 North Calvert Street, Room 402, Baltimore, MD, 21202.
Email finreg@dllr.state.md.us They will be able to assist you in getting out of the payday loan trap, along with this great site, of course. :)
