Payday loan help

I just acquired a payday loan from Hydra Financial Limited Fund 1 from New Zealand and it states the loan agreement is governed by the laws of the commonwealth of new zealand and by the the federal or state laws of the United States. I live in North Carolina and I was wondering is this illegal. I have asked them not to send me anything but they did and now they are saying that I have to pay their money plus interest. What can I do?

this would be illegal in every state.however yours totally prohibits pdl's.how long ago was this?can you return the money?if not you still are only liable for the principle only.you need to close that account,open a new one and then pay this illegal on your terms,not theirs.

New Zealand? These people keep coming up with the funniest stuff to bluff people into paying up. Do as Paul says and keep us updated here. These illegal lenders are moving out of Indian territory and going international it seems :rolleyes:
