Help! VIP CASH

My husband and I received a loan from VIP Cash in the amount of $700. When the approached my husband with the loan, I told him that I wasn't sure about it. After reading post in this forum, I now know they are illegal in CA and owe us a refund of $1,690. Once we go to the bank to close our account, is there anyway our bank can help us recoup some of the money owed? Is is too late to dispute any of the charges?

unless the account got overdrafted your bank will most likely not be much help,but ohiogal has a sticky in her signature on dealing with illegal lenders.it has all the info you need.now i must stress that you do close that account asap as they will debit forever if you allow it.close the account and send emails demanding that refund.also know they will threaten alot,but be able to do none of it.
