So I got an email from the customer support team of Flobridge saying that they are going to offer me a one time settlement. The loan I took out was $400, and I have paid back more than half, and I only owe about $161. So they tell me they are going to settle with me for $400, and forgive the $380 in interest and $95.00 in fees. So I should respond with I'm only paying the $161 right? I mean I'm thinking that they are only offering me this settlement because they can't get anywhere with me and my company with the wage assignment paperwork.

They also put in the email that this is a way that they can keep from affecting my credit or obtaining a garnishment. They're illegal so I should go tell them to kick rocks right?

what an insult.i would respond like this.

since i only technically owe 161.00.i'll settle on that.your offer is an insult end of story.please respond asap.

do that, but know they already tried the assignment and failed with that, and any attempts to report on your credit can be easily disputed off.they are pathetic.

Both of my previous posters are right. You are responsible only for the principal. Close your bank account to stop unauthorized withdrawal. You need not to pay any interest or fees. Check out this page to know more about how to deal with illegal lenders:
