I have tried to obtain information regarding the laws in Mississippi regarding internat payday loans. We have store front companies so I know these are legal but what about internet lending from companies that are out of state? Also, what is the time limit in regards to debt collection of internat payday loans in MS? How can I stop Fedeal Asset Solutions from harrassing and threatening me with check fraud charges? I did not write a check on any of my payday loans.

In Mississippi, Internet Lenders must be licensed in your state. If your Internet lenders have a license in your state, they will clearly say so on their website and display the license.

If you can post your lenders here and how much you paid already (all amounts, fees, rollovers, etc) the experts can help determine if your lenders are legal in your state.

It sounds like illegal bottom feeders are calling you. They are just using scare tactics, and can't do anything to you because they are illegal lenders. This is typical nonsense from them.

The SoL on Debts is Mississippi is 3 years. You need to send the collection agency a C&D letter to stop them from harassing you in case you genuinely don't owe the debt. Given that they are threatening you with check fraud charges, they are already in violation of the FDCPA. File a complaint with the AG and the FTC.
