I'm not sure if I am in the right place let alone the right topic. I have an issue. I bought a truck in mid march. I paid a total of $2500 down on the truck by paying $2000 up front and $500 2 weeks later. Well mid April I had some unexpected things come up and wasn't able to adhere to an agreed promise date. So naturally they came and picked up my truck last Thursday night.

So this has put me behind a little more with barely having transportation to work since the work I do requires to traveling to peoples homes. At first they were not going to even let me try to get my truck back but I repeated over and over again I understand it's late and promise was defaulted but it was no intention of mine to do that especially paying almost $3000 a month ago. So they decided to let me try and get it back. Of course now it's 2 payments and a $250 repo fee all fees totaling to about $1100. They said they typically allow 10 days to do so but I have been fed a few lies from them already. I'm not sure what to do, my day is near and I don't have all of it. I was willing to offer them to pay on it til the fees are payed if they will let.me. I don't know what to do $2500 is a lot of money for me I worked hard for to just let go down the drain:confused:.

Most of all this situation is embarrassing. Any help will do.

Here's the deal, you need to pay them the $1100 and then keep up with your payments. Find a way to get that money and do it fast. They repoed quickly because you missed your first payment.

If you don't come up with the money, they'll sell that truck and you'll be responsible for paying off the difference between what they sold it for and what you owe.

Was that sarcasm?

I'm not sure what kind of "help" you were expecting but I told you the hard truth of your situation.

The way I view it, it's better to be out a few hundred dollars for the repo fees and still have the truck than to be out a few thousand dollars and have no truck.

Those are your options. Pay the $1100 by the deadline and get your truck back or don't pay it and then get billed for the balance.

It sucks but that's the way it is.

Actually it wasn't a question on whether or not to pay the $1100 it was a question to see if there was an alternative to paying the $1100 up front.

And I did have a chance to speak with them again, they are going to let me pay half tomorrow and half next week/payday and then I will be able to pick up my truck. Never been in this situation before.

Thank You for your time.
