got a call from CRS

i got a phone call from a Michael Stone claiming to be with CRS about a house that i lost over 12yrs ago that has been off my credit report for a couple years. when i asked him what he was calling about he just said he was collecting a debt thru a company that i have never heard of. so then i asked him what was the address of the house that he was calling about and he couldnt telll me. then he tells me he has my credit report in front of him and laughs at me about my credit. ive gone thru divorce so its not good. how can he pull my credit without my authorization?? and is CRS out of Dallas Tx like he said he was?? i really think this is a scam.
