Pay day loan

After reading some posts I realized I am also being harassed by the same people for a a payday loan. The people call themselves Barnes and Associates and were really nasty. They left a phone message on a friends phone saying if I did not call them they would have be arrested and file a criminal case.
I called the number and the person was quite nasty. Saying I owed a payday loan, which I know nothing about, since 2005. When i said I knew nothing and that the statute must have run out anyways, the person told me they were sending the case to the county court and I would be arrested and brought to criminal court. This was a threat and they would not give me all the information such as the name of their client. What am I suppose to do? I don't have any payday loans from that far back and at one time when I had 2 I paid them off in 2007 and never got another one on-line. Is this a scam or what?

They are basically scam artists and trying to scam you. Don??
They are basically scam artists and trying to scam you. Don???t share any personal information with them. Moreover, non-payment of debt is not a criminal offense. It???s a civil case. So you can never get arrested for that. File a complaint against them to the SAG or FTC.
