Midland Credit Management

From Minnesota had 3 PDLs about4 years ago. They 3 were illegal and were grossly overpaid.

I had on an off gotten the typical recorded threat from different collection agencies but got a call today from

Midland Credit Management. 800-265-8825, didn't leave any details said it was an attempt to collect a debt. I read that this company is awful and very fraudlent, tries to collect on debts that are past SOL or paid off. I have not ever heard of them trying to collect on a PDL.

Has anyone in the PDL area heard of this group collecting PDLs. I have no outstanding debt or collection activity besides the 3 PDLs.

Some how I think this is on an old debt that was declared in a bankruptcy years ago and was sold again.

I called the number and couldn't get through so I called the general number. They asked for full name, address, social and telephone number. I stated that since you called my house and aske for me by name that you have my information. I said I would verify my name and year of birth. They finally said okay. They refused to give me any information on WHO they were and WHAT they were collecting for, but when I gave them the year of my birth they stated that it did not match their records and that they would put me on the "do not call" list.

I sincerely doubt that this will be the end of it, but I have no clue who they are and what they are collecting for.

Any ideas.
