J Boudreau strikes again

I made a payment arrangement with my bank to pay a credit card on a monthly basis. Due to someone forgetting to change a code, (according to someone at the bank's recovery department), this debt was accidentally sold to Beaudreau. They started calling me three to four times a day, trying to get me to pay. I did not answer their calls at first, simply let them go to voice mail since I did not know who they were or what they wanted. Finally my son answered the phone, and passed on the message, and I called them back. When they told me what they wanted, I informed them that I had already made arrangements with the bank, and to not call me again. They informed me that they were a debt collector, and that they would continue to call until this debt was settled one way or another. I called the bank and asked what had happened. They said the debt had been sold in error, and that they would put in a buy back request, which they did. I called Beaudreau (sp) and informed them of this. Two days later, someone from their agency called me and told me that they had an e-mail from the bank stating that they "would not be buying back the debt, but that they would forward the payments to Boudreau," who would honor the agreement and take the money. However, he stated, they would like to offer me an agreement to make a settlement and "save" me a lot of money, since it would take years to pay off this debt with the payments I was making. He wanted me to give them a lump sum of thousands of dollars, or make $500 a month payments. When I told him if I had that kind of money they debt would never have come to this, and anyone who had that kind of money would have paid this bill, he informed me that "not everyone has your moral compass." What a joke, someone from Boudreau talking about moral compasses! I contacted the bank, who informed me that they never sent this e-mail, that they have put in a request to buy back the debt but that it would take 1 to 2 weeks, and if they had done anything of this nature I would have been contacted as well. The rep from Boudreau said that they would not contact me anymore, but only after I asked for a fax number to send a cease and desist letter, and then stated that he would not have called anymore anyway, but was only trying to save me money by making me this last offer! This was after he had stated that the bank had sent the debt to them for "legal review and disposition." These people will say anything to try to get money out of you, they do not care if you have it or not, and will even try to bypass the owner of the debt to do it! This is in spite of the fact that they insist that their phone calls are recorded. If I had the money, I would hire a lawyer and ask that these phone call recordings be present at the hearing for all to hear. Dirty, dirty people feeding off of the misfortune of others. I think I have it taken care of, but I thought that the other day too. Is there anything else I can do to stop Boudreau?
