PDL's in MD

I'm in MD and also had a loan from idealgelt. They didn't reply until they tried to process the payment and came up empty handed. Then they emailed about a payment plan. Only after I sent the letter for the third time, (to the person that emailed me) did they respond that they don't follow Maryland law, we are tribal etc.
I responded telling them that the only law I follow is MD law. I haven't heard back in a few days. I resent my letter today.

I got a paid in full letter from 1 PDL so far! There is hope

As the other poster said, these illegal PDLs don't put a move on it as long as they get paid. The moment the money stops flowing in, they will all stir up. I think, just in case, you should close your bank account as soon as possible and open a new one. Have you paid back the principal amount you had borrowed?

I was dealing with 5 PDLs (I'm also in MD), and heard back from 3. One sent me an automated email thanking me for a payment I never made, but the amount in the email satisfied the remainder of the loan, plus interest and fees. One sent me an email stating that they follow the laws of Belize but would mark my account as PIF. The third one (MyNextPaycheck) is giving me the hardest time. I had a balance left and sent terms on repayment and they NEVER responded to that. They had someone call talking about they're going to serve me at home and work. I know that is not the case. They can certainly try though.

Sorry - the other 2 I never heard from. I did file FTC and AG complaints for all 5 though.

I haven't closed my account because i am waiting for my direct deposit to clear, which will take place tonight. The bank placed a hard block on the account so no withdrawls can be made my anyone except me and I have to go into the branch to make a withdrawl. I have opened a new account at a new bank.
