Help I am drowning in pay day loans
Date: Thu, 05/10/2012 - 17:49
I am in Ohio and I have 3 pay day loans . Two are bi weekly and 1 is monthly .
National Cash Advance -558.34
Cashland -546.18
Express 704.00....The Express loan is on the Insight card but I do not have direct deposit set up through the card . I pay back on the 3rd and reborrow the same amount .
I talked with someone who said I need to close my checking account and open a new one at a different bank but I have a loan through my credit union that I have to have a checking account for so closing my account is not an option .Plus I have direct deposit at my credit union .
My question is this ,can I put a stop payment on each place ? If not ,and I just let the checks bounse ,how many times are they allowed to send through the check or the electronic check ? to my bank ?

I'm guessing that you are from Ohio and it seems to me that out of the three lenders, only National Cash Advance has a somewhat shady operation (DE based and has been sued on multiple occasions for various offences). The other two lenders are legit. You will need to negotiate some kind of a repayment plan with them.
