Did you receive a summons?? If so, did you answer it?? And no, they do not have to send you a certified letter or reg mail to notify you of your court date....dont know where you got that information from.

Have you checked your credit report?? Looked up the court docket??

Hiya,

Soaplady is correct--you need to view the docket. Contact the court clerks office and ask to get copies of the docket for this case. If you were never served a summons, you can file an order to show cause/motion to vacate judgment due to improper service. This is not as difficult as it may sound. If you WERE served a summons, then it was on you to be there for court. Please clarify for us whether or not you were ever served a summons and we can go from there.
