Please Help Me.. I'm going crazy!
Date: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 12:24
Can someone please help me, I'm going crazy here and stressing too much. I live in NJ and got behind because of some medical / auto bills during a car accident.
I took a pay day loan out and then another online. Now I am paying the fees and nothing more and barely getting by. I currently have about 6 loans out- 4 for 300 and two for 500. I have paid all of them well over the what I borrowed and fear I will never get out of them.
I moved in with family because my lease was out and wanted to catch up. I read online that pay day loans in NJ are illegal and that I can send them all a letter stating that I am not authorizing any further payments and give them contact information but I am wondering if I still owe them because of how much I paid (And it being illegal).
My fears/problems are that most of them don't have an address and after looking them up discovered they operate illegal so how would I notify them by mail without an address?
Second I am terrified that my work will find out about this by them calling....
I am planning on doing this.
- Preparing a letter telling them to stop charging me.
- Call my bank and get the charges stopped or would it be better to just cancel my account with that bank?
Thank you so much in advance.

Hello,
This is the OP I created an account to make it easier.. I contacted my bank to get the charges to stop but they are refusing to help since I authorized them originally.
My Bank is USAA.
okay now
as for your bank.see a manager nobody else, and take any docs with you.like the ACH revocation letter.per the EFTA(electronic funds transfer act)you can revoke an ACH at anytime.again see a manager and get that done.also go in person as the drones on the phone aren't any help at all.

Thanks,
After speaking to my bank we worked it out they are manually blocking the ACH transactions but put the full account on hold until this can get processed.
I am sending letters tomorrow to all of the offices for the loans to have them respond. Should I expect them to ignore the letter?

Another question. So one of my loans is Cash in A wink. Everyone else either settled as requested, haven't done anything at all or one sent my loan to collections which I might just settle for 100 to them and call that a day.
Cash in a wink calls saying they don't have to listen to my paperwork, threaten to call my boss and tell him I am getting arrested etc. I filed complaints with the FTC and local state but need them to stop!! Help!!
do this
tell your boss that your bank account was compromised and a scammer will be calling.straight and to the point, but the only way to deal with them is to ignore them.if you get caught on the phone hang up,but do not talk to them further, and file follow-up complaints with your AG.they are slime.
Thank you, I did that and they keep saying they "don't need my a
Thank you, I did that and they keep saying they "don't need my approval for the wage garnish" I hung up obviously but they called back in a row a few times. I have reported them to everyone but my state's AG forwarded me (at least online) to the banking division who is investigating.
Another loan through Hydra Fund II, I received nothing from them until a collection agency (NCA) took over the loan. After talking to the collection agency they would have agreed at 300 (I owed 450 but paid ~1000 to hydra). I am thinking of just paying because I am afraid it will hit my credit and REALLY don't want that right now.
Finally I changed the account etc about 1 month ago. Cash King Advance agreed to my terms and paid back what was due (without any issues actually). Hydra did this and Cash in a wink is being hard with it. I am more concerned with the last two I have.
1.) One Click Cash
2.)United Cash Loans
I have sent the documents but have not heard back from either at ALL, one I actually still owe ~200 and the other owes me but I would agree to not getting the money for the "hard lesson" if it meant them stopping. Should I expect them to start getting "loud" soon?
no no no
you stated that you paid 1000 to hydra.sorry, but they in new zealand and totally illegal.also NCA is a bottomfeeder.unles you borrowed more than 1000 you are owed a refund.do not pay a bottomfeeder on an illgal loan you overpaid.as for the others i need the following
1)how much was borrowed
2)how much was debited
you see none of your loans are legal therefore you only owe the principle and anything debited that they call "fees"gets deducted.file complaints against all including NCA,and when one calls hang up without a word.all they want to do is lie, argue, and threaten.do not give them that.again do not pay a bottomfeeder collector on a loan you are owed a refund on.got it?
oneclickcash
I am also trying to find out about oneclickcash. They are a tribally owned company but states they are located in the united states and are a federally recognized tribe. Seems they were organized just for lending purposes.

Hello,
Yes I know I am entitled to a refund but I really don't want them on my credit report.
The others are
Cash in a wink: Borrowed $300 paid $470. I requested a refund of $170 but they are saying everything against it.
One Click Cash: Borrowed $300 paid $90 told them I would pay the remaining balance of $210 but they haven't responded
United Cash Loan: Borrowed $300 paid $540 requested $240 refund no response at all as well.
