I opened a new account for PDL's

So I am in the process of paying my PDL's off. I have one with ACE, Payday One and CAshnetusa. I have opened a new bank account at a different bank strictly to pay these people off. I have worked out a payment plan with ace and Payday One. Cashnet is being a bit more difficult. Anyway my question is once I change my bank information with them can they still go to my old account at my old bank and pull money? I can't close out the old one because it is a joint account.

Also if i let cashnet payment default will they be more likely to work with me on a payment plan?

It would have been best if you could close the account. This way they would not have been able to debit any money from your account. Any way, you can ask your banker to put the account in the "deposit only" status. This will stop them from pulling money from your old account.

I live in Texas. I know that Payday One and Cashnet are legal here. I wish I could close my account too but that is not possible. Just wondering if it was legal for them to go the old account. Should I send a letter revoking authorization to the old account?
