Due to loss of income I leaned a little to much on payday loans and credit cards. I have been able to payoff about 1/3 of it as I have been able to work out a deal with the credit companies. However, the payday loans have been a nightmare for me. First of all they kept trying to take money out of my checking account after I have informed them to cease. The bank would "not" close my account, they said it would be fraudulent. Yet my account went 1300.00 in the hole after the bank decided, they better close it. So now I am paying off this account(and I don't agree with it) and I have been trying to work with the payday loan companies to work out a set payment plan, but all of them refused, and they keep adding on interest.
I have now receive phone calls from scammers claiming they are john brown and they are going to send the police to arrest me, people who call my employment, after I have told them not to, and people who downright call me names on the phone. I am sick of the 40 calls per day I am receiving.... and I would have started paying back my pal, if they just worked with me.
My is question, how do I stop the firestorm? Chapter 7 or 13 bankruptcy? ignore them?, payday loan consolidation company? I need a plan of action which will help me,and at this junction, I don't know who to contact...

DId you do an ach revocation in writing?? Or verbally tell them to stop??
If you did a proper ACH revocation and gave a copy to the bank, they have to EAT their overdraft. By law, you have the right to stop ACH's as long as you follow the right steps.

When I closed my account at my bank and explained why I needed it closed, my bank was pretty understanding about it. They placed a 'stop payment' on any ACH's that were trying to go through from PDL's. I suppose I got caught into the 'PDL nightmare' cycle like everyone else.
