Can US credit card companies find me in Canada?

I am around 3500$ in credit card debt and can not use the remainder of my money to pay it off as i need to use it to survive and go back to Canada to find a new place.
Now can they come after me in Canada if i dont pay?

DId you read what I what I wrote?? A US judgment can be domesticated or transfered to a canadian jurisdiction for enforcement. That would mean wage garnishment, bank levys, pretty well the same measures that would happen here in the US could happen in Canada.

Add on court and legal costs which the debtor is responsible for and suddenly debt is $7000. Collections between the US and Canada is not difficult, especially with technology and cross border CA's.
